On the docks behind me... err, my old office, sit the wreckage of at least five Shohan destroyers, towed here after Fleet and Local assets managed to fend off scouting attempts in systems within the Invasion Corridor. Most of the workers on the main stardocks are either military personnel, or have enlisted recently, and they’re busy ripping the wreckage apart to try and figure out anything and everything they can about the enemy. Hear that, engineers? Fun new toys to play with! We could use the help down here! Seriously, it’s busy as Hell here. Dock Groups A and B are almost exclusively military, and D and E are almost entirely populated by refugees and evacuees trying to get out of the corridor. It’s... messy, but it’s working!

There’s a lot of new travel advisories and restrictions going up... Any spacer watching this is sure to be able to guess where they’re going up. It’s really not necessary for me to announce them, since, from what I’ve seen of the traffic here, no one’s going that way anymore. Everyone’s tripping over themselves, and everyone else, to go the other way. They’re... Not all getting there, though. There are a lot of reports of the refugees making attempts at new islander colonies. They just want to start over, but the Colonial Bureau is currently very reluctant to pass any new charters. So, they go anyway, without support. You all know the dangers out there. The Kriak aren’t doing much as a whole right now, but individual clans are still hopping around, just waiting to pounce on these poor people. Some reports even say the Shohan have found some of them... Let’s just hope that’s not the case.

Good.. and bad... time to be a freighter jock these days. Lots of families and whole communities looking to get out of dodge. On a personal note, having met some of these people... Try not to gouge them on the prices, please? They’ve been through a lot already. If you’re going to help them, help them, don’t make it worse. Fleet’s still offering solid contract rates on parts, supplies and labour, and most of it is running out of the yards here at Zanzibar... So this is where the work’s at! Second fleet needs help with the evacuees, people!

As for traffic, He Fei and Pulau Merah have both been confirmed by Second Fleet as Shohan attacks. Sectors 3963 and 3863 are at a class 3 advisory... But personally, I’d say just don’t go there. I can’t give specifics, but I’ve seen what Shohan ships can do to non-military craft. S’all I’m saying.

But, on a kind of related note... In an effort to boost recruiting amongst seasoned spacers, any of you that have outstanding warrants on you for info or livestock smuggling or somesuch? Admiral Karik’s office has announced that they’re officially willing to void warrants for certain minor criminal violations in exchange for active duty service. Admiral Hall isn’t making the same offer, however, so make sure you’re applying at

Second Fleet offices, here on Dock B, and not at Third’s on Dock A. Trust me, there’s big signs, you’ll be able to tell the difference pretty easily. And by minor, well, the list is posted.

I’m Amanda Kally, and this is your officially pardoned starburst for tonight.

Good evening spacers... The racing circuit as a whole is having a bit of a down year. A lot of the usual contenders are either enlisting, or helping ferry islanders and frightened colonists out of the sectors neighboring what Admiral Hall has dubbed “the Invasion Corridor”. While it’s been pretty quiet on the Shohan front since Artemis, there’s been all kinds of activity here, as I watch from my brand new offices across the stardock from the old ones. Instead of all that busy construction work, as you can see, I’ve got a great view of one of the nearby asteroid belts from here. Major construction going down here, though that’s about all I’m allowed to say about it for now. Lots of the engineers are talking about new plans, but specifics are understandably kept under wraps.

But, as for the space lanes... Jammed, is the word. Lots of people want to get out of dodge before the Shohan show up, and can we blame them? Admiral Hall’s office is bustling around the clock with people from all over the place, scraping up anything that might qualify as Intel, so, if you’re trying to bug out of the corridor, don’t be surprised if Third Fleet asks to have a chat with you. If you’ve seen anything Shohan-like, they’re definitely going to want to talk to you. So, stop on by! Heat exchange stations are packed around here, but prices are kept nice and low for anyone who’s helping the TSN with info, or with getting civilians out, so, still business to be done, folks! Let’s help keep some people safe, there’s too many refugees here who have no real plans, and just want to be safe somewhere.

I’m Amanda Kally and this is your displaced starburst for tonight.

Happy...ish Founding Day, spacers! Well, we’ve gone over a month without any dream-shattering travesties, so that’s good! If you’re capable space crew, and you’ve got the stomach for a fight, Admiral Hall’s office is quite thorough in reminding me to mention that the Fleet wants you! Keep in mind, that’s not just combat pilots they... we’re looking for, it’s also engineers, logistics, even cooks! It’s not all dreadnaughts and explosions, the news just makes it sound that way sometimes.

As you can see behind me, though, they’ve been so busy with the aftermath of the Battle of Artemis, that they haven’t put the shutters up yet! That’s the Houyi behind me, getting fixed up after it led the surviving ships out of the Battle, and made it back here. The survivors from those ships are almost all back to full health, and the word of the day is Intel! That’s what everyone’s talking about, but unfortunately, it makes for a pretty slow news day, since you all know what other word comes with Intel, right? But, what I can say is that Captain Shetley got himself a promotion out of the deal - super nice guy, by the way. Totally made time to talk to me, even in medbay. He’s been transferred back Coreward, and most folks here think fleet command is going to go to Admiral Marikesh.

In the meantime, however, the Fifteenth Annual “Race to the Gap” has been cancelled. Admiral Monowai says that with the repositioning of many fleet assets, he can no longer safely keep the checkpoints under watch. With Fourth Fleet in a ... restructuring period, Admiral Hall and Third are becoming the functional front lines down here. Admiral Karik and Second Fleet are also anticipated to re-base here. Hey! Maybe they’ll take my office, too! Headed down to medbay to donate some blood. If you’re in the area, med staffs here are still always looking for a hand. It’s... busy, to say the least. If you don’t have a taste for needles, fuel and other supply shipments are also in high demand here. Bigtime buildup going on behind me, and you’ll get guaranteed rates from the Navy on anything they can turn into a ship.
I’m Amanda Kally and that’s your intel laden starburst for tonight.

Spacers... It’s... Well, if you haven’t heard, get out from under that rock and open your eyes. The Shohan have hit Artemis III... and the fleet that was protecting it. We’ve lost the Jewel, and a good portion of Fourth Fleet, and this broadcast is getting cut short, as most coverage will be split between the Senate floor, the concordances of the High Cantor, and a mass at the Vatican. Personally, I... don’t have anything substantive I can add at this point. Whatever rituals you have for lost crew, I’d say go ahead and do those. There’s... a lot of lost crew by all indications...
